eFish Plus - web based fisheries management tool
eFish Plus has been released and contains a collection of web enabled systems designed to assist you to capture information for fisheries management by
- Using web based technology to incorporate the 3 sectors Customary, Recreational and Commercial
- Make available the ability for Iwi and hapu to Report and Monitor Catch by Sectors
- Provides users with the ability to record data to meet FMAs, QMAs, Stat Areas and Fishing Restrictions at a National and regional level
Mapping System
- The ability for user's to map areas of cultural importance in a secured area
Use information captured as Decision Support Tools relevant to them
- The ability for users to enable rotational fishing or catch spreading
- Information sharing between sectors to gain agreements between these sectors
- Allow better participation in fisheries management by users of the system

Our role in this project;
Create the technology mechanisms through which we can gain a more sophisticated way to understand and manage the Harbours, rivers and estuaries.
Using technology to investigate and implement new methods of obtaining the information necessary to improve understanding of the environment.
Integrated programming that will connect diverse expertise across a number of disciplines.
Utilise information as a Decision Support Tools for Iwi and Hapu.
Build Capability through training in the use of these systems within Iwi and Hapu to enable better participation.
