Programming is a unique service where we offer organisations the ability to take their special requirements from paper to web based solutions.
We have a reputable programming team who have provided us with the capacity to develop online programmes to meet client needs.
Case Study: Online Membership System (OMS)
Te Roopu Whakamama O Ranginui required an online solution that would assist them to capture specific details of Iwi members in Aotearoa and around the globe. This information and data was required for the organisation to develop a centralised database where they could analyse and generate reports based on age groups, gender, geographical locations and more... The system needed to be able to allow Hapu to log into the database and view all hapu members (who were approved in the initial approval process), and communicate with them through the Online Membership System (OMS).
Through a number of consultation hui we were able to start the development process for Te roopu Whakamana O Ranginui, and have recently deployed the OMS system for them to assist their data capturing process.
Ngaiterangi, Ngati Ranginui and Ngati Pukenga of Tauranga Moana approached WD to build an online system that would offer the ability for the Iwi to monitor their Customary Fishing information and data within Tauranga Moana. The system needed to be able to allow Tangata Kaitiaki (Permit Issuers), to log into the online system and enter their permit details as per Ministry of Fisheries regulations. Between three Iwi in the Moana there are over 50 gazetted tangata kaitiaki.
The Iwi administrator has the following capabilities through the efish system;
Creating and editing Tangata Kaitiaki
Issue username and passwords
Monitoring user actions
Generating search by reports; Tangata kaitiaki authorisations, reports by Species, reports by Location, Ministry of Fisheries quarterly reports and more...
Tracking complete and incomplete authorisations
Maintaining and updating kaitiaki (user) details
efish brings Kaitiakitanga into the future through technology. The underpining benefit of efish, is that Iwi are able to monitor kaimoana gathering areas within their rohe and identify through efish if there is a pattern of gathering happening in certain areas of the rohe. Through efish, the administrator is able to alert tangata kaitiaki of this and encourage them to inform the gatherers to gather kaimoana from another area to allow replenishment to occur. The administrator can post alerts for all kaitiaki which will appear on the screen when they log into efish.
efish is a tool that will assist Iwi to manage their kaimoana resource.
